Whew!! Perhaps we shouldn't be too overly concerned. After reading the indictment (spelling?) we, the consumers, are small potatoes. There are not interested in us. They have BIG fish to fry!!

I know, I know, I am a glass half full type of person.

WOW! Krash, thanks for the info. (Sorry, I mean Katarina..not used to the new nameSmiler)

Its a long read, but well worth it. For those who do not want to read through the entire 91 pages, they do list several NROP's in particular, including rxduncan, rxcentury, e-discountrx, offerpills and rxgreatprices to be specific. They also single out a few pharmacies like Tri-phasic, which I know filled many scripts for members of this board, including myself.

What I dont see, and maybe someone knows more, is where are the doctors who participated in this and why are they not included in the indictment? I actually researched the DR name on my script the first time I ever ordered from a NROP and the doc did exist. Are they involved, or are their names just being used unknowingly, to appear legit?

That was my mistake. I ignorantly assumed that a DR actually did look at the info I sent! I guess for an adult I am not too bright or reallly naive. But I learned my lesson the hard way. While Im glad that (so far) NHRG, where I ordered from last, is not on the list (hopefully they closed to avoid charges)I have decided that I will se my DR, have him write me a prescription, and deal with it from there. In a past post I said that I avoided my doc because I was too embarrassed about my conditions, depression and anxiety, because they often carry a stigma. I didnt want my neighborhood pharmacist to know what I needed, nor did I want to go through my insurance for fear that my employer would somehow find out and view me in a different way. That is why I did the NROP route. At this point Id rather be humiliated than arrested!

Peace to you all. I hope that the members of the board dont disappear now because of the lack of NROPs. The group here is truly wonderful.

Hi soccermom, yep its me, reincarnated..lol
I too read through the indictment and wondered where the doctors where.
My hubby ordered from them, and tri-phasic was the pharm. What bothers me most is some of the people indicted used their APARTMENTS for storage? Am I reading that part right? Yeah, that really sounds sanitary.
I wonder in the whole scheme of things if the DEA really did us a favor by busting them, as these scumbags were making a ton of money off the backs of chronic pain sufferers. I know that many were not, and were caught up in their addiction, but many just continued using, and some like you, didn't want to draw attention to yourself by seeing a doc/pharmacy for your condition.
I also believe in my heart of hearts that the government is NOT going to come after the people that were suffer and that they if they are at all, going for the people that are re-sale market.
I wish everyone the best in this fiasco and hope that we can draw together vs pulled apart. Excellent post soccermom.
Thanks

I agree. I think that most of the people who ordered were misled by the websites: they always staed how "legal" it was, as well as the fact that the majority ordered only a few times and in reasonable quantities. They should track down the ones who double dipped or ordered mass quantities with the obvious intent to sell on the street.

The apartments and warehouses sound skeevy. I had this picture in my mind of an actual pharmacy filing the prescriptions (duh!), not getting my pills out of someones sock drawer or from a box in their spare room. AND THE MONEY!! I recall reading that they ordered over $200 million worth of controlled substances at a discount! Sheesh! If I had only 1/10 of that, I would have nothing to be depressed or anxious about! Wink

As I said, I hope that the people who come here for support continue to do so, and that everyone finds a fast, easy way to deal with their pain.

Glaxo was mentioned several times in that indictment. You would think that they would have the funds available to make a PERSONAL inspection of a company(ies) claiming to be a pharmacy. Man, these people were operating out of warehouse and apartments. Good grief!

I read all 91 pages, a lot of which are repeat paragraphs. All this was going on right under my nose - I live 5 minutes from Duncanville. Boo hoo.. Just kidding! Wink They're either gonna get off because they are R-I-C-H or are going to the pokey for a long time. It appears that if they can convict them on just one of five counts they are doomed. I am ambiguous about this. Yes it is wrong to traffic to people without records. OTOH, we all know how doctors are about giving you what you NEED to feel better. Oh well that's my say in the matter.

HI SOCCERMOM,
I ORDERED FROM NHRG ON 9/19,MY ORDER WAS SEIZED.I HAD PAID BY M/C. AFTER ALOT OF RESEARCH,THIS IS WHAT I FOUND OUT IN CASE YOU NEED THIS INFO FOR AN ORDER YOU MAY HAVE PLACED,PAID FOR & NOT RECIEVED AS THEY WERE SHUT DOWN.
NHRG'S SHIPPER WAS DALAMAR IN MANSFIELD TX,817-453-2855 BUT COULDN'T GET THRU. MY PKG. WAS SIEZED IN MEMPHIS--GO FIGURE!I CALLED MY CC & FOUND OUT NHRG USED TRI-PHASTIC IN TEXAS.TRI-PHASTIC SEEMS TO KEEP POPPING UP RE. THIS BUST. THEY GAVE ME THE FOLLOWING # TO CALL IN ORDER TO GET THIS CHARGE CREDITED BACK.IT WAS Eilpay AT 866-833-6828.WAS EXPECTING A MAJOR PROBLEM IN GETTING MY MONEY BACK BUT THEY DID IT IMMEDIATELY! Regarding your embarrassment,I have horrible PTSD from being in the tower of the WTC on 9/11,4 herniated disks, get horrific cluster migraines & have had severe depression 4 along time.I know how you feel & with all my issues many think it's all in my head. Far too many suffer from the same, no reason for embarrassment. If a Dr. or pharmacist is going to judge you on that I'd change them.Much of the public suffers from the same & the #'s are growing rapidly. Burgundy Health is GREAT!!Annie at Cust.Serv. there is the best in every way. Empathetic, knowledgable, answered all my questions(I had many)& went far beyond what I expected.AMAZING!!U need some record showing your problem,if you don't have any,a walk in will be fine. Don't feel bad for issues you have no control over. You deserve compassion, care & nonjudgemental help. BurgundyHealth will give it to you & will be there for you at any time 4 anything!
Best of luck!!!!You're not alone.....

I just happened across this thread...I know that I am way out of the loop, but I bought from a lot of NROPs before I was able to get off of them and control pain with kratom, so this makes me nervous. Was NDS part of the indictment?

Hello. I can't make this link work. Does anyone have a link to the entities included in the idictment?

NROPS are a terrible rip-off, some more so than others...it would be interesting and informative to know who is involved(?).

I have found the answer to the order that I never received!!! My gosh!! That is scarry, because on Sept, 19, I ordered from startdieting.net for the 2nd time in a 1-year period. The company name that was on my 1st prescrption bottle was Tri-Phasic. When I submitted this last order, my order went through and I received a confirmation letter with my order # and everything. The same way I remember from the 1st time.. (To be received Fed-Ex next-day) Then a week had passed and I never received my order nor a FedEx tracking number and my credit card wasn't charged yet. When I attempted to email the website, my email would bounce back saying the mailbox was full, and the 1-800 phone # would not work... I eventually called FedEx to see if there were any pending shipments for my address...and the only thing FedEx was able to see was that a shipping label had been created for me by "United Care LLC". And that was it... Still no package...
Of course I have given up on receiving my order, And now, the links on that website no longer work... so I apparently placed an order at the very nik of time that "pharmacy" got "busted", which makes me worried because there is a package label with my name and address hanging around out there in their records, which makes me worry it could get seized .... I am a law abiding citizen just needing some relief from an anxiety disorder.. But I have always had a gut feeling that ordering from the net was wrong,, but I could never find a straight answer about it being illegal when I would research it on the net.. even the FDA can't seem to get a handle on the definate legality of it yet... But at least they seem to be only going after the owners of the websites, not all the individual consumers.... hopefully.
