Hello, has anyone had any experience with this drug?My doctor gave me samples to try of it,and it has olanzapine and fluoxetine in it he said, which is Zyprexa and Prozac, according to the insert that came with it.He gave it to me for severe depression and I'm also having panic attacks, and anxiety attacks also.I am getting to the point where I hardly go out of the house and I am hardly sleeping at all.I am goind through a difficult situation right now,and with that ,me and my hubby are just about at the end of our relationship, and my disability case is going in front of a administrative judge,so I feel like pulling all of my hair out,and you should see my thumb.I have dug all of the skin off of it around the cuticle and it is raw,so all of this combined my mental health is at stake here. Please if anyone can give me some info on this medication I would really appreciate it,as you all are my family.Thanks.The brand name is Symbyax.

I hope this may help.Someone I knew was on Zyprexa and according to THE PILL BOOK it is an anti-psychotic. Clonazepam is also an anti-psychotic.But when the guy I knew's girlfriend went to pick up his script for it(Zyprexa),The pharmacist was like"Oh my word...Zyprexa....what's he need this for? This is a heavy duty drug" Not that it was any of his buisness. He was prescribed a large dosage by his Psych DR.(by the by...the guy I knew said he "loved" the Zyprexa, he said it made him "all ****** up and he liked it" He wanted me to try one and I decliened.Hope this post is appropriate.I know the guy I am referring to was and is a seeker. He would take anything he he thought he could get off.

Broken,I know that this med has zyprexa and prozac both in it and my mom tried zyprexa and it freaked her out and she quit it,but, the doctor gave it to me for severe depression.I have been feeling like this for some time and had been taking wellbutrin xl 150mg.but it has not helped so this is what my doctor wanted to try me on.It says on the samples it is 6/25mg,which is 6mg.of one med and 25mg.of the other. He told me that is the lowest dose starting out and the nurse at the office said everyone he put on this med has had pretty good luck with it.I'm supposed to take it 1 to 2 hours before bedtime and make sure i take it at the same time every night.I am trying it for the first time tonight and it supposedly takes a week to start working,so I guess we will see. Thanks for the info.

I believe the 6mg. is the Zyprexa and the 25mg. is the prozac. 6mg. of Zyprexa is a pretty low dose and if you have ever had any luck with benzos like clonazepam you might be allright with the Symbyax.I took 20mg. of Prozac for a while and it messed me up....so did Zoloft....I will not take ANY SSRI'S ever again ,but they truely do help some people.Best of luck to you I hope it helps you out.Give it a try...It might work well for you....only way to know is to try.
