All posters agree to the following before making their first post.
"I understand that this site is a pharmacy watch and support group. I agree to respect the rules and guidelines of this site. I do solemnly swear that I will not make offers of any kind. I am joining this board to seek help, and to help others, and not to solicit. I will share information. I will answer questions and I will help as my time an knowledge allows. I will support and help legitimate users seeking needed medication. When time permits I will try to influence those in power to take a more positive attitute toward patients. I will try to take an active role in defending the rights of those in need of medication and those helping them. I will use this site to seek help and support and will help and support others." Board Objectives 1. To discuss prescription drug sources, doctors, prescription services, referral services, and everything related to obtaining prescription drugs online. 2. To exchange information about pharmaceuticals, treatment, medical conditions, and related topics 3. To seek and offer help and support. General Guidelines and Provisions The Golden Rules The Support Forum isn't run by rules, per se. Rather, it is moderated by a tight-knit group of moderators who have volunteered to put themselves in the position of making difficult judgment calls. Most of these Guidelines are meant to keep and entertaining and informative forum and are geared towards just improving the state of the forum through smart tips (using good subject lines is just wise, ya know). Some of these Guidelines are more prohibitive, however, and they function as rules. The rules come in two-forms: the cardinal, and the compulsory. Cardinal Rules No trolling. Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to get people riled up. Substance is the key to not being labeled a troll. Ad hominem attacks are not welcome. Criticize ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. No member is allowed to engage in public personal attacks on any other member or Moderator. Personal attacks are defined as Personal, Racial, Ethnic, and/or Gender based insults, slurs, or derisive comments. All complaints need to be communicated privately to an Administrator or Moderator, who will pass it on. In the event of this, the offending post will be edited or removed, and the offending party shall receive no more than one warning. If the behaviour continues, the member will be banned permanently. All we want is a little community kindness and no attacks. Let's all work together to accomplish this, eh? No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material. Simple rule. Moderator's judgment applies here. Sexually suggestive images will be heavily scrutinized. We'd like for our readers to be able to read the support forum at work and share with friends without fear of retribution. Do not post links or requests for warez Post in the right forum! If it's about a US Source, post it in the US Sources forum. Even if it's only humor, an observation, or angst, if it's about something that we have a forum for, post it there. Resist the temptation to post something offtopic because you think you'll get "better responses" in a particular forum. Respect the privacy of others Do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission. Each forum member may have only one account Do not place foul language in thread subjects Do not dig up old threads (Chit Chat only) If you want to continue a discussion from an old thread (older than 1 month), create a new thread and reference the old one in your opening post. Advertising or soliciting any products or service is against the rules. Do not discuss or mention other med boards. Do not even mention them as "another board" And of course, NO SPAMMING No commercial-oriented posts, and no flooding with useless content. Compulsory & Common Sense Rules Use descriptive subject lines and research your post This reduces the chances of double-posting, and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Also, scan the subjects of the last several days' posts to make sure you aren't duplicating posts. Also, consider what forum your topic should be posted in. HTML is ON, but the use of iframes, embedded objects, java and javascript are not welcome. Not everyone has broadband! DO NOT attempt to subvert, modify, or disrupt the normal flow or display of the Support Forum or its content. Restrict the use of foul language Swearing will not be tolerated on this board at all. Because of the fact that it is bsically a Support forum, we need to keep it clean. We arent saying you can't express your opinion, but there are ways to do so without swearing. Finally: Not making any hard and fast rules means that the moderators can use their good judgment in moderation, and we think the results speak for themselves. Bottom line: we always give warnings (with the exception of unacceptable posts-sometimes we need to work fast), but we don't necessarily give them more than once to the same person. If you are disrupting the community, we will take action. This message has been edited. Thanks Rosie...the mods here have been involved in a couple of instances recently where mods should not have been involved.
The rules will be abided by as laid down by the adminstrator here. We will give warnings as necessary, but if our decisons are questioned, either publiclly or privately we have no recourse but to take action. Be advised. Whatever the mods decide is good for the board is OK Anyone making the moderating job more difficult like questioning or challenging the moderators, will be considered "persona non grata" Peronal problems with other members must be kept off the board. If that is not posible then any problem with a member must kept off the board but reported to the mods, and any problem with the mods should be kept of the board and reported to the admin Anyone, an all parties, involved in flames, personal attacks, or "drama" like Rosie like to call it: will be considered "persona non grata" Thank you ----------------------------- Please DO NOT PM the MODs and ADMINs for support! I thought it was a good idea to bump this thread up as a friendly reminder and then close it again..
And please lets not forget...if you have a problem with another member, PM a moderator..don't flame on the board OR in PM's!!! Usually in most cases it's just a misunderstanding and can be resolved easily. Thanks.. |
