does anyone know the difference ?is there a different effect? Just getting ready to order and not sure!! is the effect immediate or does it take days to get into your system? I know you guys have been over this before, but please just one more time for the slloowww to learn like me! Thanks in advance for the info!!

kminky3, if using the kratom to substitute for an opiod painkiller, whether to cut down or quit them, the "effect" will be immediate. Immediate in the sense that, like taking a pill, it will take an hour or two to get into your system. At this point experiences vary depending on who you are talking to. For me it doesn't make me feel good or a "warm and fuzzy feeling" that some get when they first take an opiod pain reliever. Rather I just don't experience any intense withdrawl symptoms. I only use it on a temporary basis myself, but some have used it to completely stop taking opiods. I also do not get any pain relief from it as far as i can tell, or very little. I also don't take a lot of it per dosage. So perhaps at greater dosages one might get different effects. Just about any type of good quality kratom product will work for me. I do prefer the better grades myself. But you are also going to be paying more for them. Plus, when you do the math, it really isn't a cost effective substitute either, at least not when buying to better grades of it. I am sure others can chime in here.

I completely agree with PB. I have, once or twice, taken kratom after having been completely clean off any opiate for at least a week, and then it gives me either a nice "buzzy" feeling or a sedating feeling. It doesn't seem to matter what kind or where it came from, and the effect doesn't seem predictable. The only really predictable thing about kratom for me is its' ability to keep withdrawal symptoms at bay. Like PB said, some people have used it to get off hydro, etc., altogether and a few have claimed they were able to do so without any withdrawal.

That isn't my experience. For me, it works exactly like an opiate in terms of preventing withdrawal, but without the pain relief. If I take it longer than a few days I develop a tolerance, and if I quit taking it without going back on hydro I go into w/d within a few hours of the last dose. For example, right now I have been taking it for several days as my hydro didn't get shipped until Friday and we don't have Saturday delivery here. So I'm taking small amounts of kratom at interverals when the symptoms become unbearable in hopes of not running out before my package comes tomorrow. Increasing the kratom dosage will make me feel better, but I have a limited amount so it's a catch 22. Don't know if that's the information you're looking for or not.

Oh, I forgot to tell you about that extra arm thing. It can come in handy. I think there are a handful or so of pretty good vendors mentioned in these threads that sell a good product. You should be okay.
