After my Cold T. attempt off oxycodone of a few weeks ago I immediately returned to my 40mg/day, just for a couple of days tho, then went down to 30mg/day and stayed there a week. Then I had a couple days that were rough, I lost track of my dosage (except it was under 30mg/day) Yesterday i was at ~15 & ~18 -yes I'm quartering them.
I'm on the west coast. It is just after 4:00pm. I woke up at 7:00am and have had 2 halves and a quarter...oh yes these are 5mg oxycodone. I ordered some kratom, but it is not here yet. It's the crazy-legs that drive me....yeah, crazy.

Empireboy~ Look up "Clonidine" on "Wiki" it stopped my Methadone W/D (A very heavy duty detox) it took away all symptoms, it also helps Hydro withdrawal...oddly, this is a blood pressure medication that they have found is a powerful opiod withdrawal medication. You have to be careful and if you already have low pressure, it obviously is not indicated.
Just an idea.
David

Around midnight last night, I thought I'd titrated enough to get through my final withdrawals. I even felt cocky. Yet as 6:00 am arrived it was clear that I was going to be severely tried for my hubris.

My lord (if there be one or I have one) put me in a convertible going warp speed, after first turning my skin inside out so the devil could give me paper cuts and spray me with urine. This was when they were being kind. I held on, but I was feeling weak, I have plenty of oxy.

I'd ordered some kratom Monday and clearly had underestimated the severity of the situation. My flesh was feeling weaker and and my will was going along with it. There was a knock and USPS had a package for me. I took a teaspoon of kratom, washed it down, 15 min later took another one. 1/2 hour later another one. By now it was 11:00 I was loosing my mind, if I moved around I might almost stand my own skin, no not really. Death was looking wimpy next to this. I had 4 baths in a 3 hour period but it was just to change from one environment it did nothing.

By 1:00pm I knew I was going to make it. By two I'm sure I was on sandpaper beach with vinegar sunscreen but it felt as if it was subsiding. I was ready for fruit drinks with brollys. I knew i was through, I'd made it.

Thank you all for your advice and support. I'm feeling very good, just tired, but now I can lie still, which means such luxury. I put clean sheets and pillow cases on my bed and I feel like I'm in heaven.

Empire,
I have been where you are (not exactly I am sure, but have done this as well). I used subutec/buponephrine (sp.?) I went cold turkey for 48 hrs.(it was hell, but I did it and so can most people) and then had 4 subutec per day for 3 and then 2 for 2 days and 1 for one day.
After all of this I was depressed, very depressed, for 2 months, leg jitters etc. I was explained the reason for this is because opiates supress your hormones, it doesn't matter if you are female or male. Just know that is normal and you can and will get through this. You will feel better.

CLONIDINE! Look it up on Wikipedia, a simple little B/P med. I have taken a rather hefty regimen of Hydro. AND Methadone (10x harder W/d) than Hydro. Took Clonidine and withen two day's totally asymptomatic of any W/d. *IF you have LOW b/p, you must not take this med. It works!.

If you found as many of you may have, that kratom is like eating dirt, not vile, but not tasty either.
You can buy diy teabags and fill them with kratom.I then steep several initially in hot water which i leave in the fridge all day. This makes a very strong brew. I then cut this with water, microway add sweetner and soymilk and its ok, someone on here is adding the brew to his coffee and says its just fine. Quite helpful stuff I say.
It just occurred to me that kratom smells like the very cheap weed I would get when I was a young teen, 'bunk' as we would call it. Takes me back. Wink

David,
I agree that Clonidine is a great help when w/d'ing from methadone and/or other opiates, but it does not, for the majority of people take away ALL withdrawal symptoms what-so-ever!!
You are SOOOO lucky that it did that for you!! I am so thrilled for you.
I wish it worked that way for everyone.
I had to point this out because I don't think it's fair to get everyone's hopes up that high..ya know?

I hope you take this with good feelings, the way it is meant hon.
I have been on Clonidine for 7 years. Originally for withdrawal.
It helps, yes, but not to the extent it helped you for others by any means.
May I ask how many you took per day?
My dose is.6mgs/day, taken as I am most comfortable.
I am still on them because it is next to impossible to stop taking them without serious pain and many other symptoms when in the situation I am in.
My blood pressure is fine. But, unfortunately, I am stuck on these little suckers!
All the Best,
Ema
PS Are you off of methadone?????
