Okay I decided to start a new thread because I have a pretty specific question. I've read that in detox, a main drug they give you is clonodine (or something similar). My question is, does the clonodine help the sweating / shivers part of withdrawal? If not, is there something else they gave in detox (besides another opiate) that helped with this?

I was given Clonidine for detox. The dr said it would help with the hot and cold
flashes and shivering because it's a blood pressure medicine and it opens up the
blood vessels or something like that. It made me very tired and made my blood
pressure fall too low and I would faint so I had to stop taking it. For detox I was
given Trazadone to sleep, Subutex & Clonidine for withdrawl.

I was looking for a specific anxiety medication and ran across this site which has clonidine. I'm not a shill, just wanted to let you know that they list clonidine for purchase. I have not used the site, so have no first hand experience, just wanted to let you know where you might be able to find it. It appears to be a US NROP.

I had to edit my post to list the site...LOL I guess you'd probably like to know what I'm referring to!

clonidine will also help if you fell trembling. It worked for me best at night. It is by far NOT going take all the W/D away but will make you feel a little more human for a little while. Good luck and let us know how you do with the Clonidine.
