I'm just wanted to help share my experience with Kratom. I once again got out of control on Norco's....40 to 50 a day...no I am not lying....full of shame. This is day 2 and I am 90%. I can't believe how great this stuff works. I am taking a lot of it but I will taper off the Kratom on day 5 and hopefully be off the Kratom in 2 weeks...thats my plan. I couldn't get to my kratom yesterday for a few extra hours and I really started to W/D and OMG...the pain in my legs and back and everything was just horrible. I finally took some and within about 1/2 I was 90% better. Sleep is still a problem so I am taking something for that. Right now I just want off these things...I just want to share my experience with anyone out there that was suffering like me and not posting or posting. You guys turned me on to this stuff and it is saving my life.....it's heck of nasty though but not as nasty as the W/D.

Congratulations Belinda. Kratom is a miracle for many that suddenly have to stop. It is not nirvanna, but a heck of a lot better than what was available before it. Used judiciously it can be a godsend. Keep us informed on your progress.

Good job Belinda, Kratom has been a lifesaver for so many here. Don't hesitate to PM me if you need to talk/vent anytime. "Been there, done that" with the Hydro W/D so I can empathize.
Hang in there, it will be just fine!

Belinda;
If this is day 4, then, if I recall, you probably are not going to feel any worse than you are feeling at this moment, you should be over the "hump". I hope that now that you have been through this, you will keep an eye out for others experiencing W/D and be able to lend a supportive hand to them. As I am sure you know, coming off an opiod med. can be a lonely, rather isolating process, a couple of years ago, we had a young woman living alone in a big city "up north" she practically spent 24/7 for awhile on her "PM" button. Today, she is doing super, has moved back to one of the southern states with family, has a new, "clean" boyfreind, and is thrilled with her life. That is a small measure of how one can be reinforced by lending support. Plus, the more you "talk" about being clean, the more apt. you are to stay that way. I hope that although you have a resolve to D/C the opiod meds. You can still manage to contain your pain a bit!
Keep posting Belinda!

Hi David,
I just want to really thank you for really being there for everyone on this board. You have really helped me along with the others too. I had surgery 6 weeks ago and am in no more pain. I used to kill the pain and to numb myself, just taking more and more pills and just couldn't get a buzz anymore. My whole idea was to feel good but I was feeling worse. I just sat around like a blob getting high or trying too. I did more today then I have in 6 months. I'm so happy. Sleep is an issue and I am still on kratom but like you said I should be coming down the hill now. I'll keep you guys posted and I hope others that were living in a quite hell like mine to try and get clean. Thanks again everyone.....

Belinda, I am so happy for you. That is so great. Would you mind recommending where you got the kratom? If you are comfortable. Looking myself. Either way, congrats and keep up the great work.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday. I keep some kratom in case I start to go down that path of taking more meds than prescribed. I got it almost a year ago and just have it in a zip lock bag in my dresser. Does anyone know if it has a shelf life, or if it should be in the freezer? So far, I haven't needed it, so I think there is a positive mental advantage to the plan, for me.

I wish I had Kratom when I was detoxing.. I had to man it up for those months of w/d. I discovered Kratom last summer when I felt normal and better. To me it just gives me energy and helps with creative motivation. It's not hydro as I think of it as ginseng but better.

Good going Belinda

You are winning the war on the meds. Be proud of yourself, stand in your living room and shout out " I am the best, I did it, I am strong, I deserve only the best."

We are here for you cheering you on...

Hello All,Can you all tell me where you get your Kratom, and is it capsuls or leaves?which is the best? My boy friend is trying to stop his meds and this might be the answer. He's been taking norco for about 5 yrs now since a really bad accident, and he'd love to stop them.
Thanks Denise
