Isn't that always the way? One works hard to dig their way out of a dark, scary pit only to be greeted by skeptics or criticism on the very tools they used to help them climb out of their self-destruction? While I am sure those who have provided these secondhand experiences mean no harm, and are simply concerned for you, remember that YOU are responsible for managing your own recovery. I sometimes give advice to keep friends out of harm's way, too, but I know that ultimately, they have the option of how to use that advice.

Listen, you are doing this the right way; with the support and educated guidance of your doctor, and that is key. I admire you. Congratulations and listen to your doctor who has the credentials to guide you.

This is YOUR journey; you were feeling GREAT earlier. Perhaps you can present these concerns to your doctor, who can answer them and put you at ease.

Either way, we are all rooting for you!

Love,
Serenity

Cant,

How are you doing today? I have read your posts here, & there & across the board. You, KIKI,(great person) and alot of others. I too need/want to kick the habit that began 5 years ago wtih a back injury. My hydro usuage at this time, and for the last 8 months, is a little higher than yours was before you started the detox. I congratulate you! CONGRATULATIONS CANT!

I too, am also mixed up as to what route to go. I began with thinking I would do the RadidDetox- I don't care HOW much it costs. My daughter in law, bless her heart, told me yesterday, her friend who works in a methadone clinic, has seen those patients during detox at a Rapid Detrox facility. She said they SCREAM OUT LOUD & PUKE terribly- all while under the anesthesia! I don't get it? How can you puke while sleeping and not die???????It sound VERY dangerous, does it to you? DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS AND IF ITS REALLY TRUE?

I do have very caring pain doctor who does not know I have 'upped' my dosage of hydo. He also has bupe & sub facilities. I just feel terrible to have to confess all this to him- I feel like I let him down.

I am not looking for advice from you at this time- I know how well you are doing with your detox and do not want to cloud your mind with my problems. Your posts are just the ones that stuck out- thats all.

GOD BLESS YOU.......................and ME!
