Let's just say ... I'm so thankful for this
board which lead me to the discovery of
Kratom.

I was on about 180-200mg of Hydro daily. I
tappered down to about 20-40mg a day and the
problem grew back my old dose. I looked up
Kratom and thought it was too good to be true.

I tried it the first time and didn't really
feel much better. At the time, I thought I
was a bit more tolerant than most so I upped
my dose slowly. My WD's were faint. I could
work!!

Let me just say, I started on an abrupt tapper
when I had hydro. I was back at 16 a day so
if you take more than that, I would try and
get some help before you do what I did.

I got up the next morning after taking 18 and
just popped 2 Hydros and a spoonfull of Kratom
with it. Through out the day, I took about 2
more spoonfulls of it and only 1/2 pill of Hydro.

The WD's were intense I'll have to admit but
that day, I only did 4!! I haven't done that
few in such a long time.

The next 2 days were pretty much nothing less
than Hell. Pain, Pain, Pain. No sleep. I made
sure I did this on a weekend so that it would
not interfere with work. The 4th day, I felt
soo much better and it was because of the
Kratom. I decided not to take anything that
day, and the day after ... which leads me to
today.

I hate to say the word "quit" but rather, I
stopped taking it. It sounds alot better, I
think. I also promised myself that after 5
weeks, I would call myself "cured".

It's been 6 weeks. No hydro and I'm on only a
spoonful of Kratom a day. Note, I still
have pain from my ulcerations on my leg but
I cannot deal with the fact that I was
waking up every morning feeling terrible to
pop 6 Hydros to get on my way. Its no way
to live. I will never, ever do them again.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I
am the BIGGEST skeptic but, it worked (Kratom)
and I want to thank everyone here for it.

I hate to say it with only 6 weeks of having
had stopped taking but I think I'm cured.

Oh, it also helps to change your surroundings
if you can.

I got a puppy ...
Went camping one weekend ...
Painted my house when my cravings acted up ...

The cravings only lasted about 2 min but
they were frequent in the beginning.

Ok. So did you have W/D from the Kratom itself? Does it have an opioed base? I really havent found an answer to these amongst all the Kratom threads.

It seems to me that if Kratom is non opioed (though how can it be if it keeps the WD away), that once the hydro or whatever is gone you should be able to go off.

I just want to say congratulations spacecowboy, you're my hero ....you should be very proud of yourself. I think kratom is almost like a miracle drug, myself.

p.s. is your name from "some people call me the spacecowboy?" I love that song.

I ordered it last Saturday (9-23), it seems like when I ordered it said UPS, but it went out Fed Ex. You could email them and ask Beth.

I ordered from them Friday and had choices of several FedEx services as well as US Postal Service. I went with express postal, cuz I was in a hurry, don't ya's know?!?

I went USPS express too, I just have gotten used to tracking #'s...even if it meant staring at BIR. ;-)
