I'm on suboxone....I didn't take it for a couple days and took a couple hydros today because my back was just KILLING me!

So if I took a sub NOW, would I be ok?

Cause I've heard you have to be in w/d's to take sub or you'll actually go INTO wds....but theres been times where I skipped taking a sub for a day, sometimes 1.5 or 2 days, took hydro, then went back to sub (not very often) and had no withdrawals.....

So if I took a sub NOW, would I be ok? opinions anyone??

you should really wait 20-24 hours after any opiate agonist ingestion before dosing the bupe, I'd hate to see you risk precipitated withdrawls.

I am not too sure about you question but I had thought you couldn't take hydro while you are on sub. I thought you had to wait for about 3 days. Don't you get sick from taking hydro and sub to soon??
-As to your question I think if I were you I'd wait until I was in withdrawl. Also, not to scare you, but I read of someone who was switching between hydro and sub (using sub when they couldn't get hydro) and the sub stoped working for them. I read this on the computer so I am not to sure about the real truth of it all but just wanted to tell you just in case.

I hate to call BS, but being able to take Hydro would take about three days of planning.

If it was really for your back, why would you have stopped sub for a couple of days to "make way" for the Hydro?

I'm not being judgemental... but having done the same once myself, want to make sure you're being honest with yourself and us!

In response, though, stay off 18hrs or so until you're back in withdrawal, then resume the sub.

Well....unfortunately I didn't get to read these messages until now (at work) b/c my Inet connection is down at home. I DID take hydro for a few days, made the pain go away, and by then the sub was prob about out of my system. I continued to take the hydro for a couple more days, then went back to sub....and yep, exactly as you've said. I was in wd's IMMEDIATELY...they werent too bad, and didnt last too long, although, i'm still feelin some side effects...
N0W my back hurts worse than ever....but I guess thats just part of being of the whole deal...
