...is killing me. Sometimes it just feels unbearable. I just want to lay a round and watch TV. I know I am early on, but still! Am I going to fast? Any feedback appreciated.

Wayne-

Hey Wayne,

It's no great substitute, but a combination of Nyquil & Benadryl will take the edge off a little,,, I'm no doctor but it has worked for me during benzo withdrawals... Just a suggestion., Good luck

NUM,
If you go to a good vitamin store and can get your hands on a bottle of inosital powder, that works pretty well.
It's safe, you can't really OD on it.
My chiro nutritionist turned me on to it.

When taking a "holiday" etc, I take about a level teapsoon every few hours. It's actually sweet tasting.

If you can't find the powder, get the pills (powder in capsule) and take 4 or 5 in place of the teaspoon.

Regardless, for all PWer's, it's a calming agent and helps neurologic activity work smoothly.
Everyone with any kind of anxiety will benefit from it.

It's worth mail ordering a bottle of the powder. It's not expensive at all. It's actually pretty cheap.
I get mine at the chiro, I'll have to research an online vitamin store that has it.

Directions as given to me by the Dr.
"take a teaspoon every 2 hours untill you fell too mellow" Big Grin

Yeah he actually said that!

I stumbled on Scoddt's recipe of Nyquil and Benadryl when I quit pain meds. I was a mess and didn't move from my couch and TV for three days except to go to the bathroom. This was before I found PW and figured those OTC meds might help. I didn't feel like dancing, but the benefits were astounding.

I don't think it could hurt you and I hope it works as well for benzo withdrawal. I have also been told that motion sickness medication will help but don't take all three at once.

I must have missed something. Why are you stopping your medication?
