Is anyone still on this thread? I am trying to stop vicodin-- don't know which way to go-- tapering or ct. tried ct before-- disaster-- felt like i had been hit by a mack truck after 48 hours, so caved in. now i'm taking 3-4 5's a day-- may not sound like much until you try to stop. not sure i trust myself to taper-- first thing that pops up, i pop a pill. the pain these were originally prescribed for is long-gone (don't tell my doc), and it is time to get off this junk. i don't like who i am having to take these. i could really use some moral support not to mention advice from those who have been there. Thanks!!

Any ideas where the best place to get that is? My relatives were visiting for Christmas and I just discovered my meds are gone. I'm going to send my niece a piece of my mind plus hopefully suggest a place where she can get some of that. Thanks

Was a thread on Kratom in alternatives some time ago. There are several vendors but I tend to get from a more expensive place. Just Google "Kratom" and you will find it. Heck, I even found it on ebay.

hi,

if you can't get Kratom yet.. I would go to the GNC store and get Kava, ST. Johns WOrt and Ginko Biloba. That should keep you sane and help with the cravings * wink..

Kava - for anxiety and cravings

St. Johns - for depression and cravings

Ginko - for mind focusness..

Why Ginko? because when you are in W/D and working it's hard to concentrate.. In fact even reading a paragraph gives you a headache l.o.l.. True..

It's down in the right corner
It looks like a pencil with an eraser and pieces of paper

If we're discussing herbs, Valerian is great for the anxiety that accompanies quitting - it stinks like a horse's ass but it does work.

I vote for tapering - find a friend or housemate that can dole them out to you, unless you've got super strong will power.
