I am a 10 a day hydro user. Migraines since age 12, age 37 now. Want to start CT tomorrow. I have Catapres from Neurologist to get through the w/d symptoms. Anyone gone CT have any suggestions for me? I really want to succeed with this endeavor. Thanks everyone.

Best of luck to you. I, too, am a migraine sufferer. I tried cold turkey last week and the anxiety is what got me down. I went 4 days and the anxiety kicked in and just got to me. What is Catapres?

I wish you the best!!

yes. i got curious and looked. ita for that, recovering alcoholics, nicotine withdrawels, and this. do a web search to see the whole list. it has some serious possible side effects that you should see if you're going to take it.

i came off oxys using it and another one called vistril they worked wonders ...but the first 2-3 days you are kinda out of it cuz it does bring yer bp down for you dont get the creepy skin and feel so nastie ... when i used it i did it .01 every 8 hours and the vistril dries everything up i took every 8 hours as well but inbetween the clonidine so every 4 hours i was taking one or the other and i was only on it for the first 3-4 days and im on day 8 now and still doing great.

also get some magnesium for the jumpy legs it works wonders...

but i wish you all the luck getting thru this...and we are all here to help ya get thru it.

I was given Clonidine along with Subutex. My dr told me the Clonidine would take away
the feeling of being freezing one minute to sweating the next with the goose bumps. It made
me very tired. I don't think I've ever slept that much in my life but it did work so I guess
it's worth it. I was on .01 and taking it 3 times a day. After a few days at that dose my
blood pressure began dropping too low and I'd faint so I had to start cutting the dose in half.
Good luck and keep us updated!

If you have any problems with depression and stuff from w/d's let me know...I know the amino acids you can take that will snap you out of it...even if its just the cloudiness you cant explain, from w/d's. I needed them. I dont know what some need who are getting medication from thier doctor to help with w/d's. I didnt have that option. So I dont know if you are prescribed meds that already help with the depression that comes w/ w/d's. If you list the symptoms you feel now, with the medication you are on to w/d I could offer up better advice. Good luck. Once this is past you, you will feel the sun again.
