Is there anything else to do for the severe Diareah that comes following getting off Hydros? I ahve taken so many immodium and they don't seam to do a thing! How long does that last? I hate to even go anywhere because of the problem! I can't eat a thing, or drink water.. I have been, because I know I need to, but its pretty bad! If anyone can help, please do so!

Thanks so much,
Cindy

I don't know if you are trying to go cold turkey, but tramadol (ultram) has a consipating effect as well as relieving other withdrawal symptoms & is really easy to get online.

Other than that I have taken a lot of immodium in the past (like 4 at a time) and it hasn't hurt me in the least.

If you find another solution, let me know!!

Honey! you sound like you are holding up well, best thing to add to your diet for "loose stools" is RICE, cheap, and will get bulk into you, plus helps absorb, and flush toxins out...we have a few nurses onboard, who may have some imput...meanwhile, keep breathing, realizing, that this too shall pass, in time. stay with your meditations, Bright Blessings, some of us have been there right where you are today!..you will get past this!
Be well and soon!

You are so right!! I forgot totally about rice! I am going to cook some up as we speak! I wish the mental clarity would be there, but it will come in time. Thanks for your support, it means the world to me. its been a boring day and that doesn't help things..so I am going for a run in our famous Rain here in Portland! I have to bundle up, I'm freezing already!

I have never "talked" to you before but did not want to miss this opportunity to send total support your way. Keep being strong, get the rice working for you and the meditation is a great idea. That is where your inner support system lives and you are giving it a chance to work for you.

Good job, continue to be strong and try to keep busy. You are one strong person and can succeed.

Keep posting...others will chime in when they see how you are doing.

Wishful thinking (at least for me). I have experienced diarrhea just as badly using Suboxone as without it - even at fairly high Sub levels.

Immodium (loperamide) is actually an opiate that doesn't cross the blood-brain border, so it has the same effect on your color has hydro does, pretty much.

In other words, it should help with that.
