I had any idea I haven't seen postulated yet, despite near round-the-clock coverage of Britney shaving her head.

She's bailed from two different rehab centers within 24 hours of checking in recently. What would cause you to have brutal withdrawal within 24 hours? Certainly not alcohol...

Anyway, since she's been in two rehabs and is in the middle of a custody battle, a hair test is really the only way to detect long-term drug use. Particularly with opiates which are gone from your uring in a few days.

So... shave your head and no one can prove long-term drug use!

Oh, thats a good theory lol...but actually I feel sorry for her. She shaves her head and people come up like a pack of wolves to sell her hair, people were ripping the door off of planes to get the first picture of her in rehab...I know people thinks she has everything and she should be happy but no one is happy with an addiction and I KNOW that it would be near immpossible for me to stop drugs if I were rich and famous and could easily get everything and anything I wanted and had people throwing themselfes at me to give me what I wanted... Then you think about Anna Nichole and see where it most likely could end...so sad to me.

The medea needs to leave her alone. Something will happen to her if they don't.

I agree...she owes the "public" nothing. She has earned her money by marketing herself, nothing wrong with that, wish people would just back off and leave her alone. Dang, people can be so stupid.

As much as I agree that she owes the public nothing - she DIDNT have to leave her house to shave her head..

And drug testing in hair is actually not as easy to do as urine testing. I have someone very close to me that does lab work, and hair drug testing isn't really as common as you might think, in fact, its not as reliable, which suprised me.

if she is going to rehab, then she probably really is on something.

My guess is cocaine - going out partying and not much going on in the career. the downtime with her music career has to be a blow to her ego, and cocaine is a good quick fix for that. Of course I don't condone it - its probably the worst thing someone can get into when they have near infinite money and people worshipping you.

my theory with the hair - its a publicity stunt. I think she had someone make sure she would look decent with no hair - like Natalie Portman in V for Vindetta. Some women can pull it off, some just look horrible. Britney doesn't look great anyway to me, but her head looks ok without hair.

She should of donated it to that charity that makes human hair into wigs for cancer patients.

She actually sings? Interesting...here I thought she was just a "T and A" (actress)

I was thinking the same think when I saw her on

the news shaving her head.

While I too feel sorry for her, I don't feel the media needs to leave her alone or that she owes nothing to the public.

People that live by the sword die by the sword, as it were. Anyone who builds a career on public exposure and manipulates it for years can't then say "Ok, now I don't want any exposure".

Hopefully she can get straightened out and have a comeback. I'm not a fan of her music (though I don't mind watching her perform!), my biggest fear for her is that like Paula Abdul, she has a problem but the people surrounding her don't have her best interests at heart.

Maybe she'll reconcile with her mom, and her mom will straighten her out. I imagine its got to be tough never to had a normal childhood.

I do feel sorry for her and I think the non-stop media attention can drive people to this kind of insanity.

THAT SAID... I do happen to work with someone who is a blood relative (albeit distant), and from what I and my coworkers have seen, genius does NOT seem to be a major failing in the Spears gene-pool.
