I received my order for Kratom, the extra strength, from http://www.mrkratom.com/ looks like finely chopped leaves.
I mixed 2.5 teaspoons in applesauce.
That was 3 hours ago.
I feel absolutely nothing!!
Is the dosage to low or do I need to further grind this into a powder?
BTW, I do not have a hydro habit, so my tolerance is very low.
I hate to think I would have to throw this stuff away, but why have it if it has no effect on me?

Hmmm. Did you order "powder"? The powder should look like, well, greenish powder. How did it taste?

No powder, it looks like finely chopped leaves, I mixed it with some applesauce so actually I could not taste it at all, and it has no smell.

lindaison.... don't take offence and think it's a newbie thing.... most posts have tons of views and no replys because not everyone registers to post..... In addition, no everyone has tried Kratom to give a helpful reply.... my view would be that I too don't really feel anything but it sure helps with withdraws from hydro which you say you don't take. "most" people on here are using it to combat w/d and to get off or lower their hydro dose. Don't remember seeing you on the into thread but anyway....welcome and I think you WILL find most everyone to be friendly AND helpful IF they can help. Good luck

Did not do an intro, suppose I should have, and will on another thread.
I do not take hydro daily, however I do need some sort of pain alleviator, and could not hurt to shed a few pounds as well.
I read the threads on Kratom and thought this would be a better route for me, for most said it gave them pain relief as well as energy.

linda, sorry for not responding. I would think that the leaves would still have some effect but my only experience with the kratom is the powder, that works great for me. I take it straight up, just dump it on my tongue and wash it down with soda or juice. I would highly recomend getting the powder and depending on how you can stomach it, take it straight up like described or mix in something like applesauce. From what I have heard, 1 teaspoon is = to 1.33 grams and 1 teaspooon is perfect for me. I have heard others say they use 1 tabelspoon. You really do need to play with the doses to find out what is right for you, thats what I did and that is how I reached the 1 teaspoon is right for me. I order from iamshammon, they used to carry the regular powder cheap but musta gotten wind that people were saying it was as good as the super so now they only cary the super kratom powder.
So point is, I would just go ahead and order the powder and use that.

Thank you kramer1, I took that advice.
If I sounded harsh, in any way, in my above post, I'm sorry, just frustrated at wasting my money.

I tried Kratom a while back and didn't feel nothing ,except for it made me really sleepy and I had bright colorful dreams, which helped because I was having a severe migraine and when I awoke , my migraine was gone ,but after that I tried it for 2 more days and it did nothing for me.

tried the tea once...took too long.

its much much easier to just get the powder and wash it down with some GFJ or H2O

Ok I made the tea, used a liter or so of water for 100 grams of Kramton.
This stuff was very foul tasting, even tried adding Splenda, still was awful.
I consumed about 1/2 cup of this liquid. That was about an hour ago.
It feels as if I took two 7.5 hydros.
Very strong effects.
But, I look at the fact of using 100 grams to make a liter of this tea, so I think it cost to much.
I am not a pro at this and perhaps I should add more water to the solution to make more than just a liter.
I am going on what a few others have told me, get the power and take a teaspoon.
Much easier, and less mess to deal with.
As for my response to Kratom, it does give me a hydro type effect meaning it has eased the pain in my joints.
Does give me energy.
My concern would be is what stops a person from getting addicting to this product, for it is so much like hydro?
Just like with everything else, use it in moderation.
