I recently took a significant amount of Kratom to help my WD's from hydro.

I had a very adverse reaction to the Kratom and it has given me Jaundice. My urine is very dark, my eyes are yellowish, and I had a very bad itchy reaction to it. So badly that I felt that I had hives and I couldn't stop scratching.

The last time I took Kratom was two days ago. Does anyone know how long it stays in the system? I am very worried and hope these conditions disappear after the Kratom has left my body.

How much did you take? They say the locals that use it can get skin discoloration and other symptoms. When I use it, it is usually on the light side. Maybe you just took too much at one sitting. Just a guess, of course.

See a doctor, soon. Jaundice, dark urine, and yellow eyes are not normal. It may be something that will improve without treatment but it is better to be safe and have it checked out. Also, it may or may not be related to kratom, it could be a coincidence.

Be honest with your doctor about kratom and any other meds/substances you've taken in the recent past.

In the meantime avoid alcohol, tylenol, and kratom until you are seen by a doc.

I'd appreciate an update after you see the doc. If this is a kratom reaction it would be a good warning for others.

I agree with Susan1 here. You should get to your doctor or even the ER if you have too. Don't assume anything, and go get checked out. If you had these symptoms and had not taken the Kratom, would you go to your doctor then??

These could also be symptoms of a stricture in the bile duct due to a gall stone, scar tissue or any number of other reasons. Best to get this checked out by a physician. Sometimes you will have no other symptoms! I know..been there with the stricture in the bile duct. Mine turned out to be scar tissue around the bile duct. It can be dangerous if not taken care of. I hope all it is for you is the Kraytom and once it leaves your system you will be better.

If it is not any better you really should see your PCP!
